North Easton, MA – The Wagner College women's lacrosse team earned a Northeast Conference (NEC) win over Stonehill, 19-10, on Saturday.
Stonehill opened the game on a 3-0 run through the first 96 seconds of the contest before junior
Kelsey Scheidel got Wagner on the board. After Stonehill tallied another goal, Wagner launched a 3-0 run to end the first. Senior
Emily Wesoky and sophomores
Ella Marino and
Sophia Colver netted goals to bring the game to 4-4 after the first.
Wagner opened the second quarter on a 3-0 run as sophomore
Katie Siverson, senior
Megan Greco and
Sophia Colver propelled the run with goals. Both teams tallied two more goals in the second as
Kelsey Scheidel tallied both of the goals. Wagner took a 9-6 lead into halftime.
Wagner opened the second half on a 6-0 run to take a 15-6 lead.
Katie Siverson and
Megan Greco each netted three goals during the run.
Wagner held a 16-8 lead heading into the fourth quarter and outscored Stonehill 3-2 in the fourth to earn a 19-10 victory.

Graduate student
Lauren DiStefano stopped 12 shots in the win.
Wagner will be back in action on Wednesday, March 29 when they welcome LIU to Hameline Field at 6:00 pm.
