Norfolk, VA – The Wagner College softball team fell in its opening day doubleheader, dropping game one 6-0 to Georgetown before falling 6-1 in game two against Norfolk State.

The Seahawks tallied three hits throughout the contest and threatened in the third inning after consecutive hits by graduate student

Kate Wolf was the third Seahawk to register a hit.
Georgetown took a 2-0 lead in the second inning before adding two more runs each in the third and fifth inning to earn the victory.

Eve Harvey was charged with the loss. Freshman
Natalie Rodriguez also saw action, recording the first two strikeouts of her collegiate career in three innings of relief.
Game 2 Recap: Norfolk State 6-1 Wagner
The Seahawks' first run of the season came in the fifth inning. After Conway reached on an error, a base hit by graduate student
Mackenzie Vogler moved her to second base.
Next up, Wolf reached on an error, allowing Conway to score.
As a team, Wagner recorded seven hits in game two, three of which came off the bat of Vogler.

Jordyn Dulken also recorded base hits for the Seahawks. For Dulken, it marked the first hit of her collegiate career.
Harvey was charged with the loss in the circle, with Rodriguez once again seeing action in relief.
