Women's Water Polo Releases 2024 Schedule

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's water polo team has revealed their 2024 schedule on Monday, announced by head coach Josh Hower.

The Seahawks will look to win their eighth Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) title in their last eleven seasons. 

During last year's regular season, the Green & White went undefeated in conference play, winning all thirteen games against MAAC opponents. Wagner finished the 2023 season on a nine-game win streak, concluding with an overall record of 31-6. 

Wagner ended its 2023 postseason in an overtime loss to LIU in the conference's title game, by a final score of 13-12. 

The Seahawks will open their upcoming season at Arizona State University, for the ASU Cross Conference Invitational from Saturday, January 20 to Sunday, January 21.

After its opening weekend, Wagner will compete in the Bruno Classic at Cambridge, MA from Saturday, February 3 to Sunday, February 4.

The Seahawks will travel to Lewisburg, PA for the Bison Invitational from from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 11, and then will head to Princeton, NJ to compete against Bucknell and SDSU from Saturday, February 17 to Sunday, February 18.

Following their trip to Princeton, the Seahawks will take part in the Harvard Invitational from Saturday, February 24 to Sunday, February 25.

After a break from competition, the Seahawks will jump into conference play as they take on Mount St. Mary's, Marist, and Siena from Saturday, March 16 to Sunday, March 17, in Lexington, VA.

On Saturday, March 23, the Seahawks will host La Salle and Villanova at the Spiro Sports Center. Wagner will host La Salle at 10:00 am before facing off against Villanova at 2:00 pm. 

The very next day on March 24, Wagner will take on VMI and LIU at the LIU Pool in Brooklyn, NY.

The Seahawks will travel to Princeton, NJ to take on the Tigers for their non-conference final at the DeNunzio Pool on Thursday, March 28.

After, Wagner heads to Villanova for two conference games against LIU and Iona on Sunday, April 7 in Philadelphia, PA.

The Green & White will conclude their 2024 regular season at La Salle from Saturday, April 13 to Sunday, April 14, with games against VMI, La Salle, and Villanova.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Championships will be held from Friday, April 26 to Sunday, April 28, hosted at Marist College, in Poughkeepsie, NY.
