Men's Basketball Travels To Stonehill

Easton, MA – The Wagner College men's basketball team will travel to Stonehill on Thursday night, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 pm on NECFrontRow.
 
Brown Continues To Impress
 
Brandon Brown averaged a double-double last week against LIU and Merrimack and leads the NEC with 8.6 rebounds per game. The senior was named an NEC Prime Performer for his efforts. No Seahawk has averaged more rebounds per contest since former Wagner great Michael Carey, who averaged 9.1 rebounds during the 2016-17 season.
 
Dominating The Glass
 
The Seahawks are currently 17th in the country in offensive rebounds at 13.46 per game. Wagner has posted a +11.5 rebound margin over its last four outings and leads the NEC with a +4.1 margin on the season.
 
Successful Start
 
After an 8-4 non-conference start, the Seahawks won their Northeast Conference (NEC) opener at the Barclays Center last Thursday. Six players scored eight points or more as the Seahawks earned a 69-61 victory over LIU.
 
Protecting The Ball
 
With 11.2 turnovers per game, Wagner ranks 40th in the nation and first in the NEC. The Seahawks' turnover margin of 2.7 is 66th nationally.
 
Men's Basketball Reunion Scheduled
 
On, February 11th, Wagner will honor the 2002-03 Wagner men's basketball team on the 20th anniversary of their NEC championship season! Wagner will welcome back players and coaches from that squad during the rivalry matchup against LIU.
 
Scouting The Skyhawks
 
NEC newcomer Stonehill enters Thursday night's matchup with a 5-11 record and 1-1 mark in NEC play. Most recently, the Skyhawks fell 73-72 at Saint Francis U.
