This Week In Wagner Athletics; Nine Sports In Action As Women's Basketball Hosts Nationally Televised Game On CBSSN

Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week.

Men's Basketball
  • The Seahawks will travel to Sacred Heart on Thursday, with tip-off set for 7:00 pm.
  • On Saturday, Wagner travels to Fairleigh Dickinson at 1:00 pm.
  • At the midway mark of conference play, the Seahawks are 4-4 in NEC action and have won three of their last four games.

Women's Basketball
  • The Seahawks will host Sacred Heart on Thursday, with tip-off set for 7:00 pm.
  • On Saturday, Wagner hosts Fairleigh Dickinson at 2:00 pm on CBSSN
  • The game against Fairleigh Dickinson is alumni day.

Women's Water Polo
  • The Seahawks will take part in the Bruno Classic in Providence, RI on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Last weekend, the Green & White picked up three wins at the Princeton Winter Tournament.

Swimming & Diving
  • Wagner's first meet of the new year will take place on Wednesday, February 1, in The Bronx, NY at 5:00 pm. 
  • It will be hosted by Fordham College, with St. Francis Brooklyn rounding out the tri-meet.

Women's Fencing
  • On Sunday, February 5, the Seahawks will host the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational.
  • Competing schools include Drew University, Hunter College, CCNY, Yeshiva and Lafayette.

Track & Field
  • The Seahawks competed in the John Thomas Invite in Boston this past weekend.
  • Wagner remains in Beantown for its next meet as Boston University hosts the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite on February 3 and 4.

Bowling
  • Wagner competed in the Red Flash Invitational last weekend, finishing in fifth place behind All-Tournament recipients Amanda Medvetz and Totiana Miranda.
  • Looking ahead, the Griffin Baker Invite awaits for the Seahawks at Chestnut Hill College on February 4 and 5.

Fencing
  • The Seahawks will host the Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational on Sunday.
  • Wagner will celebrate its four seniors on Sunday and the meet will be available on NEC Front Row.


Men's Tennis
  • Wagner kicks off its spring season in Annapolis, MD against Navy on February 5, at 10:00 am.
