WATCH | Live Stats | Game Notes

North Andover, MA –
The Wagner College men's basketball team will travel to Merrimack on Monday, with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 pm on NECFrontRow.

Dominating The Glass

Wagner is ranked 17th in the country with 13.53 offensive rebounds per game. The Seahawks also lead the Northeast Conference (NEC) with a rebounding margin of 4.1.

Taylor's Career-High Week

Sophomore Rob Taylor II earned NEC Prime Performer honors last week after two career-high performances against Stonehill and Saint Francis U.

In his first career start, Taylor contributed a career-high 17 points and a career-high tying 11 boards against Stonehill. Two days later, he contributed 10 points and eight rebounds against the Red Flash.

Brandon Brown Fills The Stat Sheet

Brandon Brown recorded his fifth double-double of the season against Saint Francis U, finishing with a career-high tying 16 points to go along with 11 boards. Brown, who averaged 11.0 ppg and 11.0 last week, is the NEC leader with 3.07 offensive rebounds per game and ranks second in double-doubles with five on the year.

Program DNA

Despite the slow start to conference play, Wagner still ranks first in the NEC in scoring defense at 63.3 points per game, which is good for 37th nationally. The Seahawks also pace the league in field goal percentage defense (42.7%).

The Series

In the first matchup between the two teams this season, Merrimack came away with a 58-48 victory over Wagner at the Spiro Sports Center.

Last season, the two teams split the series with the road team prevailing in both matchups.

Scouting The Warriors

Merrimack enters Monday's contest with a 5-14 overall mark and 3-2 record in the conference play. Since the last meeting between the Seahawks and Warriors, Merrimack has won two out of three games, including a 59-47 victory over Stonehill on Saturday night.
