Rehoboth Beach, DE- The Wagner women's golf team completed the fall season-opening Delaware State Fall Invitational on Tuesday at Kings Creek Country Club.
The Seahawks shot a collective 978 over three rounds of golf, finishing in 11th place. On the players leaderboard,
Audrey Paradis shot a team-best 234, and finished tied for 22nd place. The graduate student tallied five birdies over 54 holes in the tournament.
Aisha Rodriguez was the next best performing Seahawk, shooting a 241 and tied for 40th place. Rodriguez totaled three birdies over the two days and posted a 77 in round two.
Elise Fujita chipped in four birdies and finished the event with a 245 and tied for 46th place. The sophomore's performance was highlighted by back-to-back birdies on the final two holes of round one.
Ximena de la Garza and
Josephine Sawyer rounded out play for Wagner, shooting a 258 and 278, respectively. In Sawyer's collegiate debut, she recorded a birdie in each round.
The Seahawks return to the course for another two-day tournament next Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27 for the Boston College Intercollegiate at Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, MA.
