Providence, RI – The Wagner women's water polo team scored 29 goals against Siena to set a new single-game record for goals in a game while extending its win streak to eight games.

Following the Saints opening goal, the Seahawks put a stamp on the contest with a 9-1 run to close the opening quarter. Five goals from sophomore

Mar Navarro spearheaded the Wagner run.
The Seahawks took a 9-2 lead into the second quarter after they outscored the Saints 6-3.

Pip Nash got on the scoresheet for the first time.
In the second half, Wagner continued to control the contest as they outscored the Saints 9-0 in the frame.
Andrea Arias scored four more in the quarter to give her nine in the contest while
Abbey Simshauser and
Skye Nankervis completed their hat tricks.
The Seahawks would go on to claim a 29-6 victory, the most goals in a single game In program history. Wagner found the back of the net 27 times on April 13, 2019, against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent La Salle.
Sofia Diaz Alvarez tallied four goals to go along with two assists and two steals while
Skye Nankervis picked up a hat trick and three sprint wins in as many attempts.
Malia Josephson notched one goal while dishing out six assists and three steals.
For
Andrea Arias, nine goals is a program record for goals in a single contest, fellow Seahawk
Sofia Diaz Alvarez held this record with eight goals against the then #23 Indiana Hoosiers on January 25, 2019.
For the fourth time this season, the Green & White eclipsed 25 goals in a single game. This is the second time in program history that the Seahawks have scored 25 goals four times, the previous time came in 2019. The team has never scored 25 goals four times in the first 12 games and the 2019 team scored 25 for the fourth time in the MAAC semifinals that season.

The Seahawks claimed its fourth win of the tournament with a closely contested game against Ivy League opponent and hosts, Brown. The Seahawks took a 2-0 lead on goals from
Mar Navarro and
Malia Josephson before the Bears closed the quarter on a 2-0 run to end the quarter knotted at two.
Abbey Simshauser opened the scoring in the second quarter to give the Green & White a 3-2 lead before the hosts tied the game at three.
Andrea Arias scored her tenth goal of the day to give the Seahawks a 4-3 lead before a 2-0 Brown run to give the Bears its first and only lead of the contest. Sophomore
Grace Coleman scored with 21 seconds remaining in the first half to tie the game going into the second half.
Wagner put a stamp on the contest after shutting out Brown in the third quarter, goals from
Abbey Simshauser and
Andrea Arias propelled Wagner to a 7-5 lead heading into the final stanza.
Abbey Simshauser completed her second hat trick in as many games on the day as Wagner claimed an 8-6 victory. Senior goalkeeper
Kristina Bell stopped four shots in the win while
Abbey Simshauser led the way for Wagner with a hat trick and three steals.
Skye Nankervis won all four sprints in the contest and hasn't lost a sprint in the last eight contests.
For Wagner, the win over Brown is its eighth consecutive victory, a feat that has only happened three other times in program history. in 2016, Wagner won 14 consecutive games and won 17 consecutive games in 2017 and 2018.
The Green & White will have the next 20 days away from competition before beginning MAAC play at the Marist Invitational in Poughkeepsie, NY when they take on La Salle and St. Francis Brooklyn.
