Mount Joy, PA - The Wagner College women's bowling team returned to the lanes this weekend for the second meet of the season, the NEC #2, Clearview Lanes.
The Seahawks went 1-2 on the day, as they picked up a win over St. Francis Brooklyn (929-849) for the team's first league win of the season before dropping a pair of matches to Sacred Heart and Mount St. Mary's.

"Our girls played great today to start play at NEC #2. We stepped up and played at a high level against a pair of nationally-ranked teams. We will need to come out with the same intensity as we play four more matches against LIU, FDU, Saint Francis U, and Duquesne."
Wagner 929, St. Francis Brooklyn 849
- In the first conference match of the day, the Seahawks seized the early momentum in besting the Terriers.
- Amanda Medvetz and Kristina Colon each went over the 200 mark, with Medvetz rolling a 223 while Colon finished off with a 222.
- Totiana Miranda posted a 164 while America Carhart (161) and Lauren Ruth Sarreal (159) rounded out the performances for the Green & White en route to their first conference win of the season.
Wagner 928, Sacred Heart 1009
- For the second straight match, Colon went over the 200-mark, leading the way with a 223 while Carhart rolled a 203.
- Miranda improved her total from game one, concluding the match against the Pioneers with a 183 while Sarreal finished at a 173.
Wagner 981, Mount St. Mary's 1090
- The Seahawks closed out the first day of competition against the Mountaineers.
- Sarreal rolled the fourth 200-game of the day for the Seahawks, leading the way with a 202, which Miranda (199), Carhart (197), Colon (193), and Medvetz (190) each finished with impressive totals, but couldn't overcome a 109-pin deficit to upend the Mountaineers.
