Hamilton, NJ –  The Wagner College women's bowling team concluded play at the Hawk Flight Invitational on Sunday. 
 
The Seahawks were pitted against Bloomfield College in a traditional match before seeing New Jersey City University (NJCU) and Bloomfield in a Best-of-Seven Baker match. 
 
Coach's Corner - Head Coach Joseph Ambrose:
Opening Statement: "I am extremely proud of how our team has competed this weekend. We keep getting better every single event and we know that more wins will come over time." 
 
On Lauren Ruth Sarreal and Totiana Miranda's performance: "For a program that is just a year old, we have now had a four of players finish among the top-ten in two competitions, as Lauren and Totiana placed sixth and tenth, respectively, at this weekends competition. 
 
On the upcoming Northeast Conference (NEC) #3 Meet: "We will be preparing for the last regular-season conference meet. If we can make the adjustments necessary and have a big weekend, I think we can make a run to qualify for the NEC Championships."
 
Traditional Match #6 - Wagner 866, Bloomfield 856
	- In the final traditional match of the weekend, the Seahawks squared off against Bloomfield College.
- Lauren Ruth Sarreal showed little signs of slowing down, as she paced the Green & White with her second 200-game, going for 213. 
- Totiana Miranda was next at 185 while America Carhart (177) and Amanda Medvetz (164) rounded out the performances for the Seahawks. 
Best of Seven Baker #1 - Wagner 4, NJCU 1
	- Wagner was pitted against the Gothic Knights to open up the final events of the three-day tournament. 
- The Seahawks raced out to a 3-0 lead in the match after claiming a 229-149; 171-125; and 177-159 wins.
- NJCU prevented the sweep with a 182-164 victory in game four but the Seahawks were able to seal the match with a 169-118 triumph. 
Best of Seven Baker #2 - Wagner 3, Bloomfield 4
	- In what turned out to be the final match for the Seahawks, it would be against Bloomfield and go the distance. 
- The Bears opened with a 203-152 win in game one before Wagner came storming back with three straight victories.
- The Seahawks posted a 150-131 win in game two, a 223-155 victory in game three, and a 211-182 in game four.
- Bloomfield got back in the match with a 174-146 and 203-190 victory in games five and six to set up the deciding seventh game. 
- The Seahawks couldn't halt the Bloomfield momentum, as the Bears completed the comeback with a 223-156 triumph. 
Up Next For Wagner:
	- The Seahawks will gear up for the two-day NEC#3, which will run on March 5 and March 6 in Bethlehem, PA at the Town and Country Lanes.
