Hampton, VA – Senior
Eve Harvey earned her second win in as many days and the Seahawk offense combined for a season-high six runs to help the Wagner College softball team to a 6-2 victory over Hampton in the final game of the Battle At The Bay Invitational.
In the first game of the day, the Seahawks dropped a 3-2 decision to Morgan State.

After the Pirates got on the board on a wild pitch in the first inning, the Seahawks scored three runs in the second inning to take the lead.

Scarlett Lloyd to get Wagner on the board. Five batters later, sophomore
Keaghan Ward came through with the bases loaded, scoring seniors
Bianca Worthy and
Alexa Garcia to make it 3-1 in favor of the Seahawks.
The Seahawks added two more runs in the fifth, as RBI singles by senior
Mackenzie Vogler and freshman
Madi Silber gave Wagner a 5-1 lead.
Hampton scored one run in the bottom half of the inning, but a
Scarlett Lloyd RBI single in the top of the sixth made it 6-2, which proved to be the final score.
Wagner combined for 11 hits in the contest, limiting Hampton to seven hits on the afternoon.
In the circle, Harvey earned her second win of the season in a complete game effort, striking out four batters in the process.
Game 1 Recap: Morgan State 3-2 Wagner
The Seahawks took the lead in the second inning on an error and doubled their lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Lloyd, giving Wagner a 2-0 advantage early on.
Morgan State tied the game in the fourth inning before winning the game on a walk-off single in the seventh.
Lloyd led the way with two hits offensively while also pitching a complete game. Ward and senior
Nora Conway also had hits for the Seahawks.
Wagner will travel to California next weekend to play five games at UC Santa Barbara.
