Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's lacrosse team fell 12-10 to Fairfield in the first game at Hameline Field this season on Saturday.

Victoria Tucci scored her first goal of the season 11 minutes later when she received a pass from classmate
Stefani Peluso and found the back of the net with 21 seconds remaining in the quarter.
Leading 2-1 early in the second quarter, Inside Lacrosse Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
Kasey Dorney tallied her second goal of the season to double the Wagner lead. The teams traded goals for most of the quarter as the Seahawks closed the first half on a 2-0 run on goals from Tucci and Henwood to take a 7-4 lead into the intermission.
The visitors outscored the Green & White 4-2 in the third quarter to trim Wagner's lead to 9-8 heading into the final quarter Junior

Katie Siverson tallied both goals for Wagner in the third.
Fairfield put a stamp on the contest in the final stanza as they opened the quarter on a 4-0 run to take a 12-9 lead.
Stefani Peluso tallied the lone goal of the fourth for Wagner as they dropped its second game of the season.

Katie Siverson all tied two goals for Wagner as Henwood led the team with six shots on goal. Along with scoring one goal,
Stefani Peluso also dished out two assists. Senior goalkeeper
Lauren DiStefano stopped 17 shots in the contest.
The Seahawks will return to action at Manhattan College on Wednesday, February 23 at 3:00 P.M.
