Wagner Culture On Display
Six games into the season, Wagner's traditional style of play is on display.
Entering the week, the Seahawks ranked 24
th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game with 13.67 rebounds per game.
Wagner holds its opponents to a field goal percentage of 39.9%, which leads the Northeast Conference (NEC).
Additionally, the Seahawks lead the NEC in winning percentage, scoring defense, and rebounds per game.
Lewis Earns Rookie Of The Week Honors
Freshman
Keyontae Lewis earned NEC Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Lewis was second on the team with 10 points and six rebounds in the Seahawks' 62-57 win over NJIT.
On the defensive end, Lewis came up with two blocks, none bigger than his rejection with 25 seconds to play in the second half to preserve Wagner's three-point lead.
The Chesterfield, VA native has started in every game so far this season and has scored in double figures twice on the season.
Price-Noel Steps Up
Jahbril Price-Noel continued his successful start of the season against NJIT. Price-Noel led Wagner with 19 points on 7-8 shooting from the field, including a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc against the Highlanders.
In Wagner's season opener at Temple on November 7, Price Noel hit a memorable three-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to overtime, a game the Seahawks would go on to win, 76-73.
Ezquerra's Development
Sophomore Javi Ezquerra has shown his development following his first offseason on Grymes Hill.
Ezquerra opened the second half against NJIT with three consecutive three-pointers and is now 10-20 (50%) from long range on the season after only connecting on six of 33 attempts (18.2%) as a freshman a season ago.
Scouting The Black Knights
Army West Point enters Saturday's matchup with a 3-5 overall record. The Black Knights are 2-1 at home and most recently earned a 88-57 victory over Merchant Marine Academy.

The Seahawks will travel to Fordham on Tuesday. Tip-off in the Bronx is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
