Moore Finding His Form
Junior
Rahmir Moore was named an NEC Prime Performer after scoring a season-best 20 points against Fordham. He made 7-15 shots and was 2-3 from beyond the arc. At 10.7 points per game, Moore is second on the team in scoring and has contributed double-digit points in three games this season.
Long Distance The Difference
Defensively, Wagner ranks first in the conference in three-point percentage defense at 31.5 percent. On the offensive end of the floor, the Seahawks lead the circuit in three-pointers per game at 8.0.
Fletcher's Comeback
Senior
Ja'Mier Fletcher is progressing nicely. Working himself back from injury, Fletcher had a season-high 19 minutes along with a season-best nine points on 4-5 shooting against Army West Point.
The Series
Thursday's matchup marks the tenth meeting between Wagner and Stony Brook, with the Seahawks holding a 6-3 advantage in the series.
Last season, the Seahawks started the second half with a 22-2 run on their way to a dominant 78-49 victory on Long Island. The Seahawks held a 43-27 advantage on the glass, 20-10 edge in assists, and outscored Stony Brook 42-18 in the paint. On the defensive end, Wagner held the America East preseason favorite to 30.9% (17-55) shooting throughout the contest.
Balanced Offensive Attack
One year after graduating a record-setting four all-conference players, Wagner's offense is receiving contributions from multiple players.
