West Orange, NJ - Thomas Choi won the 2022 Metropolitan Intercollegiate and the Seahawks finished second on the team leaderboard at Montclair Golf Club on Tuesday.

Choi jumped five spots on the players leaderboard on day two, shooting a -4 over the final 18 holes to take the individual crown. The junior's second round consisted of six birdies. Choi totaled a 137 (-3) for the tournament and won by a stroke.
"I am thrilled with our play today shooting a 285 as a team and having the low overall score for the final round," head coach
Jimmy Criscione said. "Our guys worked hard all season and its a great way to finish strong at our final fall event."

Senior
Tyler Galantini placed seventh, shooting a 142 (+2) overall and a 69 (-1) on day two.
Renato Gerena and
Luke Bigelow finished in the top 15 after posting a 147 (+7) and 148 (+8), respectively.
Alavid Melo Iturralde shot a 149 and placed tied for 19
th,
Michael Foley shot a 151 and placed tied for 25
th. Rasmus Seppänen also cracked the top 30, shooting a 152.
"I am happy for Thomas shooting a 66 in the final round and taking the individual title," Criscione added. "I look forward to improving in the off-season and coming out strong in the spring."
Wagner served as the host for the tournament. Tuesday's round concludes the fall schedule for the Seahawks.
