Tyrone, PA - The Wagner cross country teams will compete in the Northeast Conference (NEC) this Friday, October 28, hosted by St. Francis U.
The women's 5K race will start at 11:00 am. The men's 8K race will begin at 12:00 pm.
Winners of two out of the last three NEC titles, Wagner's men's team had a successful fall, accumulating ten NEC weekly awards, ten personal records set, and several top 20 finishes. Graduate student Jean Umniski picked up four of the ten NEC honors this fall and is predicted to lead Wagner this Friday. Rookie
Justin Morris earned NEC Rookie of the Week twice.
On the women's side, freshman
Laura Trenado made a statement early this fall placing 22nd at the season opener at Stony Brook with a time of 15:16. Later on Trenado placed 27th with a time of 22:32 breaking a personal record at the Paul Short Run. The Seahawks had a strong performance at the LIU Invite placing third overall. Trenado placed seventh with a time of 19:40.13. Junior
