Syracuse, NY – The Wagner College football team dropped its road contest at #25 Syracuse by a score of 59-0 on Saturday afternoon.
In front of 33,373 fans at the JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse quarterback Garrett Shrader threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns, while Heisman Trophy candidate Sean Tucker scored three touchdowns on the ground.
For Wagner, freshman
Zachary Palmer-Smith rushed for 31 yards to lead the team. Defensively, junior
Travis Laster led the Seahawks with nine total tackles on the afternoon.
The Seahawks will be back in action next Saturday, October 8, for a 1:00 pm matchup at Ivy League member Columbia. Next Saturday's game marks the final non-conference contest for the Green and White.
Six conference games will round out the 2022 schedule, with home contests against LIU (October 21) and Sacred Heart (November 12) and road games at Merrimack (October 15), Central Connecticut (October 29), Stonehill (November 5), and Duquesne (November 19).
