First Quarter…
  • Wagner jumped out to an 8-2 lead, capped off by a left-handed, second-chance layup from Lina Loceneice.
  • Carla Balague stopped the run with a three-pointer before Katrice Jackson was able to corral the offensive board and lay it back up, giving the Seahawks a 10-5 advantage.
  • Merrimack closed out the quarter on a 10-0 run while converting on 4 of 5 from the field in taking a 15-10 lead.

Second Quarter…
  • The Warriors extended the run to 13-0 as Kate Mager opened the second quarter with a three-pointer that extended the lead to eight, 18-10.
  • Both teams went on a scoring drought over the next two minutes before Nwabudu hit one of two from the free-throw line and Heyward was able to find a seam in the Warriors' defense en route to the hoop.
  • The visitors increased their lead to nine, 22-13, following a pair of makes from the line by Kaylee Thomas.
  • Wagner continued to chip away at the deficit, closing out the frame on a 12-5 run, in which they shot an economic 5 of 7 from the field and capped by a well-executed crossover from Thybulle, as she was able to elude her defender on her way to the basket as the Seahawks entered the break down 27-25.

Third Quarter…
  • When play resumed for the second half, Merrimack pushed up the lead to six, 31-25, following a Teneisia Brown jumper, which forced the Seahawks to burn a timeout.
  • Following the 30-second timeout, Krista Grava reached double-figures with a jumper off the feed from Thybulle which started a back-and-forth between the two teams.
  • The Warriors seized momentum, as they embarked on a 9-2 run over the next two minutes that increased the lead to 40-29.
  • The Seahawks mounted a late comeback, outscoring the visitors 14-7 over the final 5:30, as Jackson completed the three-point play after her hook shot in the paint rattled in.

Fourth Quarter…

  • Wagner responded by scoring 10 of the next 16 points over a five-minute span, which trimmed the lead down to nine, 54-45, following a pair of made free throws by Cowan.
  • Merrimack put the game away down the stretch, holding Wagner to just 1 of 5 shooting over the final 1:18 in preserving the 11-point victory.
