East Meadow, NY – Behind four strong day two rounds, the Wagner women's golf team defeated Hofstra University by 19 strokes in their 36 hole dual match which concluded on Friday evening from Eisenhower Park (Red Course).
The Seahawks ended day two with 313 strokes, 10 clear of the Pride, who recorded a 323 stroke performance. Senior
Audrey Paradis shot an even 72, her lowest score as a Seahawk, to lead the field, one better than her leading 73 on Thursday. The 145 match score was her lowest two-day total as a Seahawk and this was her first individual leaderboard as a member of the Green & White.
Senior
Kyree Conaway registered an 82 on the afternoon and totaled 163 strokes across the match play.
Freshman
Ximena de la Garza recorded an 80, coupled with her day one 79, slotted her in fourth place overall across the two days of competition. Fellow freshman
Elise Fujita had an impressive bounce-back performance as she recorded a day two score of 79.
For Hofstra, Emmah Federman and Savannah Weyrauch lead the way as each totaled a score of 158 to tie for second place.
The Seahawks are back in action the weekend of September 24th as they travel to Lewisburg, PA for the Bucknell Fall Invitational.
