How it Happened
The Seahawks trailed 2-0 midway through the first quarter, but quickly evened the score with goals just 37 seconds apart, one from Dwyer and one from White.
Archer put Hobart back on top with the final goal of the opening quarter, but White even things early in the second quarter before Morris gave the Seahawks their first lead of the day.
Madonna managed to tie the game once again at four, but Dwyer added his second of the day in the final minute of the half, giving Wagner the lead heading to the locker room.
Hobart opened the third quarter with an equalizer right off the opening face-off, but Brady answered just over a minute later, giving Wagner the lead once again, before Dwyer completed the hat trick less than a minute after that.
Hobart closed the quarter with three straight goals, taking a one-goal lead to the fourth. That lead would not last long, as Dwyer knotted things yet again less than 30 seconds in.
The rest of the quarter turned into a defensive struggle, with the teams combining for just seven shots on goal over the next 13+ minutes, sending the game to an extra period. In the extra session, Hobart won the opening face-off and, following a time-out, netted the game-winner, avoiding the upset.
