Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College softball team earned two victories over Bryant on Friday afternoon, winning game one by a score of 8-0 before picking up a 4-2 victory at home.
With the two wins, Wagner moves to 6-0 at home on the season, 8-6 overall, and 4-6 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-8 this season.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow, with first pitch set for 12 pm.

Amelia Van Orman started her great afternoon at the plate and in the circle with a three-RBI performance in game one, as the Seahawks earned the 8-0 shutout victory.
Van Orman gave the Seahawks the lead in the third inning with an RBI single that scored graduate student
Zoe Bender in giving Wagner a 1-0 lead.
In the fourth inning, the Seahawks added a run on a sacrifice fly by freshman
Keaghan Ward, before an error by the Bulldogs brought home another run. Two batters later, Van Orman delivered again, as her two-run single to left gave the Seahawks a 5-0 lead.
The Seahawks put the game away in the sixth inning, as a two-run single by junior

Scarlett Lloyd gave Wagner the 8-0 victory.

Eve Harvey pitched a complete game gem, allowing just two hits while striking out five Bulldogs for her fourth victory of the season.
As a team, the Seahawks combined for 10 hits, as Bender led the way with three hits, while Van Orman was the team leader with three RBIs
Game 2 Recap: Wagner 4-2 Bryant
Van Orman earned the complete game win in the circle, allowing two runs while recording four strikeouts. The Orange, CA native helped her own cause in the first inning, sending an RBI double to left field that scored Ward to make it 1-0 early on.
The Bulldogs tied the game in the top of the second, before an RBI single by junior
Nora Conway in the bottom half of the inning once again gave Wagner the lead.
With the score knotted up at 2-2, an RBI double by Lloyd in the third inning once again gave the Seahawks a one-run advantage, before a bases loaded walk in the fourth inning by Van Orman doubled the lead to make it 4-2.
The Bulldogs got the tying run on base in the top half of the seventh, but Van Orman shut the door with a strikeout of Bryant's Erica Barley to complete the sweep.
