Women's Bowling Concluded Inaugural Season Against Monmouth on Sunday

North Brunswick, NJ – The inaugural Wagner women's bowling season concluded on Sunday at the Hawk Flight Dual against Monmouth University at Bowlero Lanes.

"To have the schedule that we had this season and see our freshmen perform and compete each week, only means that the future is bright for Wagner bowling. Only two matches all season were against non-ranked and non-league teams and we were able to win both of those. We hosted our very first invitational. I am tremendously proud of our team."

Match # 1 – Wagner 846, Monmouth 857

In a closely contested traditional match, the Seahawks and Hawks came down to the final bowlers.
Monmouth's anchor bowler struck out while Amanda Medvetz spared out as the Seahawks dropped the opening match by 11 pins.
Anelise Terrano led the way with a 198, followed by Totiana Miranda, who finished at 188 while Victoria Shaw rolled a 180.
Medvetz finished at 168 for the traditional match.

Match #2 – Wagner 821, Monmouth 988 (Baker Match)

Wagner trailed by 20 pins after the first game, 165-145.
Both teams shot 210 in the second game, with Monmouth taking a 375-355 lead to game three.
Monmouth added to its lead after out-rolling the Seahawks, 180-165, in the third game to go up by 35 pins.
Wagner couldn't seize the momentum as Monmouth finished the match with a 246 in the fifth game.

Match #3 – Wagner 0, Monmouth 4

The Hawks produced 200+ games in three of the four games en route to sweeping the Seahawks.
In-game three, the Seahawks narrowly edged Monmouth, but the Hawks were able to hold on for the nine-pin win.

Baker Averages

Amanda Burdett paced the Seahawks with a 17.7 baker average while Terrano and Medvetz each finished at 17.4.
