Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's basketball team will put its five-game win streak on the line on Tuesday and Wednesday, when the Seahawks travel to Emmitsburg, MD, to take on Mount St. Mary's. Tip-off on Tuesday is scheduled for 7:00 pm, while Wednesday's contest is set for 4:00 pm.
High Five
The Seahawks have now won five straight contests following consecutive sweeps over St. Francis Brooklyn and Fairleigh Dickinson as well as a victory over LIU. This marks the longest win streak since the 2017-18 season, when the Seahawks won seven straight games in January and February on their way to a regular season championship and NIT appearance.
Morales And Hunt Go Back-To-Back

DeLonnie Hunt earned their second straight Northeast Conference (NEC) weekly awards, the conference announced on Monday.
Morales was named the league's Co-Player of the Week, while Hunt was named NEC Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, as the Seahawks extended their win streak to five games with a sweep over Fairleigh Dickinson.
NEC Standings Continue To Tighten
If the season ended today, the Seahawks would enter the NEC Tournament as the #3-seed. Wagner still has the most games remaining (8) of any team in the NEC and is sitting just one win out of first place in the conference.
Built Ford Tough
Senior
Elijah Ford continued his extraordinary season in Wagner's sweep of FDU. Ford was named an NEC Prime Performer as well as the College Sports Madness NEC Player of the Week.
Ford averaged 19.5 points and five rebounds against the Knights. On Thursday, the athletic senior finished with an efficient 17 points on 8-12 shooting. Two days later in his homecoming to the Garden State, Ford scored 22 points on 9-14 shooting to lead the Seahawks to their fifth straight victory.
For the season, Ford ranks 18
th in the country in field goal percentage, shooting 60% from the field so far this season.
Martinez' Great Season Continues
Coming off the bench, senior
Will Martinez continues to be an important piece to Wagner's success. Martinez ranks fifth in the NEC in offensive rating (113.8) for players with at least 20 percent of possessions used. In two wins over FDU last week, he averaged 16.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 3.5 apg and made 14-22 shots (.636) from the field. On Saturday, he scored a career-high 21 points on 9-15 shooting in the Seahawks' 95-86 victory. Martinez has lifted his scoring from 5.8 ppg in his first year with the Seahawks to 11.4 ppg this season.
Fletcher's Career Night

Ja'Mier Fletcher picked up the first double-double of his career in Saturday's win over the Knights, grabbing a career-high 13 rebounds while tying his career-high with 12 points.

The Seahawks continue to lead the NEC in offensive rebounds, grabbing 34.2 percent of their misses, which also ranks 30
th in the nation.
Scouting The Mountaineers
Mount St. Mary's enters the series with a 7-4 NEC mark. The Mountaineers have won three straight games, most recently sweeping LIU. Senior Damion Chong Qui split the NEC Player of the Week award with
Alex Morales after averaging 15.5 points, 7.5 assists and 5.0 rebounds in the two wins over the Sharks.
