Staten Island, NY -  The Wagner College women's basketball team will look for its third straight win on Sunday afternoon as the Seahawks host the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. 
 
WAGNER ATHLETICS SPECTATOR POLICY...
  • In accordance with New York State and New York City guidelines the Wagner College Athletic Department has announced the following spectator policy for all indoor athletic competitions:
  • All guests will be required to wear masks
  • All guests over 11 years old must show proof of vaccination 
  • Children under 12 must be accompanied by a vaccinated adult
  • Physical tickets must be picked up on game day (can still be purchased and reserved in advance)
  • We ask that those who plan on attending the game pre-register tickets by calling the ticket office at 718-420-4039 or emailing erin.depaul@wagner.edu


WAGNER IN HOME OPENERS...
  • Wagner improved to 31-21 all-time in home openers, as the Seahawks defeated Colgate, 62-53, back on November 23. 
  • Three Seahawks finished in double-figures, as senior forward Emilija Krista Grava netted a team-leading 19 points while classmate Kem Nwabudu registered the first double-double of the year, finishing with 15 points and ten rebounds. 
  • Zhaneia Thybulle added 12 points to go along with five assists in the victory.

SERIES BREAKDOWN AGAINST NEW HAMPSHIRE...
  • Wagner and New Hampshire will be meeting for the tenth time in program history with the Wildcats leading the head-to-head series, 9-0. 
E-1K-G...
  • Senior forward Emilija Krista Grava needs just seven points to become the 25th member of the 1,000 point club.
  • Krista Grava enters Sunday's contest with 993 career points and would be the first Seahawk to reach the 1,000 point club since former Seahawks Jordyn Peck and Jasmine Nwajei did so during the 2014-15 season. 
  • Peck reached the milestone at home against Columbia back on December 30, 2014, while Nwajei reached 1,000 points on February 7, 2015, at home against St. Francis Brooklyn.

  • Through the first four games of the season, the Seahawks have held their opponents to under 30.0 percent shooting from three-point range. 
  • Additionally, in three of four games this season, Wagner has forced at least 20 turnovers.

  • Head coach Terrell Coburn has used the same starting five of Alex Cowan-Zhaneia Thybulle-Drayah Heyward-Emilija Krista Grava-Kem Nwabudu in all four games. 
  • The Seahawks have averaged 50.0 points per game while shooting 40.6 percent from the floor and holding opponents to just 40.8 points per game while converting on just 37.3 percent from the field.

  • The Wildcats enter Sunday's contest at 3-2 on the season after earning a 59-45 home victory against Siena back on November 23. Amanda Torres led the way for UNH with 21 points while Ivy Gogolin grabbed nine rebounds. 
  • Torres leads the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game while dishing out 3.6 assists per contest. 
  • Bella Stuart leads the club with 4.4 rpg.
  • As a whole, the Wildcats are averaging 58.2 points per game and shooting 35.1 percent from the field. UNH is only converting 20.7 percent from three-point range.
  • UNH is a +6.4 in turnover margin, forcing 24.0 mishaps per game while averaging 11.4 steals a contest.
