Baltimore, MD – The Wagner College women's bowling team wrapped up play at the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational with three more wins on Sunday to finish the two-day invitational with a 5-5 record.

"We continue to grow as a team and get better with each meet we compete at. Earning five wins this weekend is a testament to the work that our girls have put in. There are still several things we need to work on as we get set for our home event to conclude the first half of the season."
Wagner 833, Norfolk State 799
- Wagner got things started against the Spartans.
- The Seahawks jumped out to a 50-pin advantage after rolling a 197 in the first game while Norfolk State finished at 147.
- The Green & White continued to increase their lead, rolling a 156 in game two and a 185 in game three to push the lead up to 64 pins (538-474).
- Wagner edged out Norfolk State, 149-146, in the fourth game before NSU was able to close chip into the Wagner lead in the fifth game, 179-146, but the Seahawks claimed the 34-pin victory for the first win of the afternoon.
Wagner 870, Coppin State 799
- The Seahawks took on the host Eagles in the second match of the day.
- Wagner jumped out to an eight-pin advantage (180-172) after the first game.
- Coppin State came back in the second game with a 163 to the Seahawks 142 as the Eagles claimed a 13-pin lead heading into the third game.
- The Seahawks wasted little in responding back in the overall match, nearly rolling a 200-game in the third game as the Seahawks finished off with a 198 to CSU's 142 in retaking the lead by 43 pins.
- A back-and-forth tilt, Coppin State posted a 192-173 score in game four that saw Wagner's lead trim down to 24 pins entering the final game of the match.
- In the fifth and final game against the Eagles, Wagner was able to gain the upper-hand, 177-130, in finishing the match with their second win of the afternoon.
Wagner 774, Virginia State 521
- For their third match, the Seahawks took on the Trojans.
- The Green & White jumped out to a 48-pin lead, 176-128, after the first game and added to its lead with a slim 124-117 advantage in game two.
- Wagner would continue to find their stride on the lanes, as the Seahawks out-rolled the Trojans, 474-276, over the last three games to earn their third straight victory of the afternoon.
Wagner 811, Chestnut Hill 865
- Wagner faced a 21-pin deficit after the first game against the Griffins.
- The Seahawks did outshoot Chestnut Hill by one, 159-158, in the second game, that moved the deficit down to 20 pins, but Chestnut Hill responded in the third game with a 159 to Wagner's 136.
- In the fourth game, another back-and-forth match, it would be the Griffins that edged out the Seahawks by 10, 192-182, and again in the fifth game by one, 179-178, stopping Wagner's three-match win streak.
Wagner 816, Howard 890
- In the positional round, Wagner was matched up with Howard.
- The Seahawks took a 22-pin advantage after posting a 166-144 in game one.
- The Bisons answered back, outshooting the Seahawks, 190-165, in taking a three-pin lead, 334-331.
- Howard continued to build up its lead, rolling a 184 in game three and a 192 in game four which provided to be the difference in the match as the Seahawks dropped its second-straight match to end the tournament.
Individual Standings…
- Wagner placed four among the top-25 at the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational.
- Totiana Miranda led the way again, placing 19th overall with an average of 168.80 (844 total pins).
- America Carhart was next at 168.40 (842 total pins) while Kristina Colon (167.60 | 838 total pins) and Amanda Medvetz (166.80 |834 total pins) highlighted the Seahawks finish on the individual leaderboard.
- Caldwell's Jenna Rapach took the individual title, averaging 199.00 while posting a total pinfall of 995.
Baker Averages…
- Carhart, bowling out of the No. 4 spot today, led the way for Wagner with a 19.9 Baker average.
- Miranda was next at 17.5 followed by Medvetz at 16.1.
Up Next…
- The Seahawks close out the first half of their season on Sunday, December 5, as they will host the first of two meets this season, the Wagner Winter Invite, which will be contested at Rab's Country Lanes.
- The four competing teams joining Wagner are St. Francis Brooklyn, Bloomfield and Saint Thomas Aquinas.
