Fairfield, CT – Sacred Heart quarterback Marquez McCray threw for 214 yards and running back Julius Chestnut added 106 yards on the ground, as Sacred Heart earned a 27-0 win over Wagner on Saturday at Campus Field.
The game was cut short with 9:35 to play in the fourth quarter due to severe weather that forced both teams into a weather delay and eventually ended the game.
Wagner was led by linebacker
Tre Vallar, who contributed a team-high eight tackles as well as an interception to keep the Pioneers off the scoreboard at the end of the first half.
Senior
Titus Leo led Wagner with three tackles for loss, while fifth-year senior

As a team, Wagner combined for seven tackles for loss, including two sacks.
Offensively, junior
DQ Vinson earned his first career start at quarterback and led Wagner with 35 yards on the ground.
The Pioneers scored three points in the opening quarter, 14 in the second quarter, and 10 points in the third quarter to earn the victory while clinching a share of the Northeast Conference (NEC) title.
The Seahawks will close out the 2021 regular season with a senior day matchup against Duquesne next Saturday, November 20, at noon.
