Bronx, NY – The Wagner College football team dropped a 56-7 decision at Fordham in its final non-conference game of the season at Jack Coffey Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks will now enter their bye week before closing out the season with five Northeast Conference (NEC) games. Home contests against Bryant (October 23), Merrimack (November 6), and Duquesne (November 20), as well as road matchups at LIU (October 30) and Sacred Heart (November 13) will round out Wagner's 2021 season.
On Saturday, Wagner's lone score of the afternoon came on a run by quarterback
Jaalon Frazier, who capped a nine-play, 74-yard drive with a two-yard scamper up the middle with 2:17 to play in the first half.
Frazier, who finished with a team-high 102 yards through the air, was one of three Seahawk quarterbacks to see action this afternoon, with junior
DQ Vinson and freshman
Quincy Guy-Barnes also getting reps at quarterback.
Defensively, redshirt senior
Tim Barrow led the Green and White with six total tackles, while freshman
Nicholas Gadson was Wagner's leader with two tackles for loss on the afternoon.
Backed by four touchdown passes from quarterback Tim DeMorat, the Rams scored 14 points in the first quarter, 28 points in the second quarter, and 14 points in the third quarter to earn their third win of the season.
