Staten Island, NY – The Wagner field hockey team will conclude their regular season on Sunday, October 31 when they take on non-conference opponent Lehigh for Senior Day.

Last Time Out…
  • The Seahawks set a program record for goals in a single game on Thursday afternoon when they defeated Merrimack, 10-2.
  • The Seahawks put a stamp on the contest right away when they outscored the Warriors 5-0 in the opening quarter.
  • Senior Julia Cruces Pastorino tallied a hat trick in the contest while sophomore Natalie Rocuskie found the back of the net twice.
  • Senior Agustina Deharbe tallied two goals and four assists.
  • Junior Taylor Duffany and freshman Shea Crowther found the back of the net for the first time this season. For Duffany, it was her first goal since 2019 and Crowther's first as a member of the Seahawks.
  • All three goalkeepers saw action on Thursday, Daisy Ruhle tallied her eighth win of the season, freshman Sarah Trask saw her first action as a member of the Green & White and sophomore Erin Franklin played the final 15 minutes. The three netminder's combined to make four saves.
Record Breaking Season…
  • Senior Julia Cruces Pastorino tallied a hat trick in the contest, bringing her goal total to 13 on the season. Her 13 goals in a single season almost doubles the previous highest in season goal mark for Wagner field hockey, former Seahawk Hannah Meyer tallied seven in the 2019 season. With 14 career goals, that total puts her alone at the top of the all-time goals list for Wagner field hockey.
  • With four assists in Thursday's win over Merrimack, Deharbe set a single game record for assists, the Buenos Aires, Argentina native has six assists in the last two games. Deharbe has climbed up multiple leaderboards in the last week, she is now tied for the all-time lead in assists with teammate freshman Liselotte Koop and is second all-time in points behind fellow Buenos Aires, Argentina native Julia Cruces Pastorino (31), Deharbe has 29 career points for the Green & White.
  • Freshman Liselotte Koop ranks first in program history in defensive saves (5), and tied with Deharbe with nine assists.
  • Senior netminder Daisy Ruhle ranks first all-time in saves (91) and wins (8).
An Ode To The Seniors…
  • Elena Andreyev has been in the program since its inaugural season. During her first season on Grymes Hill, Elena played in 13 matches while starting in 12. She recorded her first collegiate point with an assist against LIU on October 11, 2019. The Howell, New Jersey native is a 2019 & 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Squad member, a 2019 NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll member & a 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholar of Distinction member.
  • Agustina Deharbe joined the Wagner family after two seasons at Saint Francis University. Currently, Deharbe ranks second all-time in points, and tied for first all-time in assists in program history. Last season, the Buenos Aires, Argentina native was named to an NEC All-Conference First Team and was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week on September 27, 2021. 
  • Daisy Ruhle currently ranks first all-time in saves and wins for a goalkeeper in Wagner field hockey history. the Marlow England native was a 2020 NFHCA National Academic Squad member and has started 16 out of 17 games this season.
  • Laura Van Hamburg is competing in her third season for the Green & White. Laura has started in every game she has appeared in during her time on Grymes Hill and currently has two goals this season. She tallied her first collegiate point against Merrimack on November 1, 2019.
About Lehigh…
  • The River Hawks enter play with an 11-5 overall record and a 4-2 record in Patriot League matches.
  • Lehigh will look to conclude their regular season by extending their winning streak to three-games. Their last time out, they defeated Lafayette, 3-2 in overtime on Friday, October 22.
  • Graduate student Lenke Havas has powered the River Hawks attack with 11 goals and 27 assists and 65 shots. Her goal and shot totals rank second in the Patriot League.
  • Junior Maddie Kahn has started in all 16 contests for the River Hawks, stopping 68 shots on 98 shots faced.

Up Next For Wagner...
  • Wagner College will play host to the Northeast Conference (NEC) tournament with the semifinals slated for Friday, November 5 and the NEC Championship scheduled for Sunday, November 7.
  • Wagner will battle LIU on Friday, November 5 in the second semifinal slated for 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 5, the first playoff game in the history of the program.
