Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's soccer team welcomes the Saint Francis U Red Flash for the final home match of the 2021 season. First kick is slated for 5:00 p.m. 


OPENING KICKS...
  • The Seahawks are looking to bounce back after dropping a 1-0 decision on the road at defending NEC champions, Central Connecticut, back on October 24. 
  • Junior forward Madison Carr finished with a team-high three shot attempts. 
  • Freshman goalkeeper Sam Hughes recorded double-digit saves for the second time in her career, as she was credited with ten on the afternoon. 
  • Saint Francis U comes into the contest looking to halt a two-game losing streak after being shutout by Merrimack, 2-0, on October 24.

  • Thursday's contest marks the 27th all-time meeting between the two schools with the Red Flash holding a 23-3-0 lead in the head-to-head series. 
  • Wagner will look to halt a four-game losing streak against SFU, with the last victory coming at home back on October 23, 2015, as the Seahawks posted a 2-0 triumph.

  • Junior forward Madison Carr ranks among the league leaders in several offensive categories. The Perryville, MD native is tied for second in total points (16), and leads the conference with eight goals.
  • Carr's eight goals ranks are tied for fourth on the Wagner single-season list.

  • The 16 points is currently the seventh-most in a single-season as next on the list that Carr will look to pass is Samantha Jensen, who produced 18 points back in 2013. 
  • Since 1995, the last Seahawk to either lead or occupy a top-three position in goals scored in the conference was Cheryl Moore, who finished second in the circuit with 15 goals scored in 1997. 

ABOUT THE RED FLASH...
  • Saint Francis U enters play with a 4-10-1 overall record and 2-5-1 in league contests.
  • The Red Flash are looking for their first win in their last four fixtures (0-3-1) as they picked up a 3-2 home victory over St. Francis Brooklyn back on October 7 in Loretto, PA. 
  • Lauren Pyle, Leanna Choo, Rita Kendrziora, Lauren Persichetty and Corinne Renninger have all scored two goals this season. 
  • Pyle, Jaela House and Alex Martinez have notched two assists, respectively, while Pyle paces the Red Flash with six points. 
  • Sarah McConnon ranks second in the conference with 90 saves and is averaging 6.43 a contest.
