New Britain, CT -  The Wagner College women's soccer team travels to New Britain, CT for a Sunday afternoon clash with the defending Northeast Conference (NEC) champions, the Central Connecticut State University Blue Devils.  First kick is slated for 1 p.m.


OPENING KICKS...
  • Wagner looks to continue its playoff push as they earned a 2-0 home victory over LIU back on October 17 on Senior Night. 
  • The Seahawks got on the board first in the 79th minute on an own goal before three minutes later junior forward Madison Carr recorded her team-leading eighth goal of the season. 
  • The Blue Devils return home to New Britain after dropping a 3-0 decision on the road at Harvard back on October 19. .

  • Sunday's contest marks the 28th all-time meeting between the Seahawks and the Blue Devils. 
  • CCSU leads the all-time series, 25-1-1.
  • Wagner's lone victory came back on October 19, 2014, a 1-0 home victory over CCSU. 
  • The Seahawks will look to halt a seven-match losing streak to the Blue Devils. 


ABOUT THE SEAHAWKS...
  • Through games of October 19, the Seahawks rank fourth in the conference in total goals with 18. 
  • Junior forward Madison Carr ranks second in the league in points with 16, trailing Bryant's Catherin Bean, who has 18. 
  • The 16 points is currently the seventh-most in a single-season as next on the list that Carr will look to pass is Samantha Jensen, who produced 18 points back in 2013. 
  • The Perryville, MD native leads the conference with eight goals scored.
  • Since 1995, the last Seahawk to either lead or occupy a top-three position in goals scored in the conference was Cheryl Moore, who finished second in the circuit with 15 goals scored in 1997. 

ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS...
  • CCSU, who has won the NEC regular season title 11 times in program history, is the defending three-time NEC champions and enter play Sunday with a record of 9-5-0 overall and 6-2-0 in conference play, good for the top spot in the league standings. 
  • As a team, the Blue Devils are second in the league in shot attempts with 209, as they are averaging close to 15.0 per game. 
  • CCSU has recorded a league-leading 22 goals this year, just ahead of Bryant (21) and Mount St. Mary's (19) with Wagner not far behind (18). 
  • Roma McLaughlin is the team's leading scorer with six goals and 13 points. 
  • Kelly Brady and Erica Bardes have each dished out four assists, respectively.
  • Collectively, the Blue Devils have given up the fewest goals (13) this season. 
  • In goal, Amanda McQuillan has seen the majority of action, playing in 13 matches while allowing 12 goals (0.96 GAA) while recording 47 saves this season.
