Hampton, VA - Following a thrilling 11-10 win over Drexel yesterday, the Wagner College softball team dropped a pair of games on Saturday as part of the Hampton Invitational.
In game one of the doubleheader, Wagner fell 8-0 against Binghamton, before losing 4-3 in eight innings against Hampton.
With the two losses, Wagner falls to 3-5 on the young season.

The Seahawks came out strong, as a leadoff single by sophomore
Nora Conway and a walk by freshman
Bianca Worthy put two runners on base to start the contest, but the Seahawks could not capitalize on the opportunity.
In the second inning, a walk by junior
Alexis Silinonte and single by senior
Zoe Bender also put runners on first and second, but did not result in a run for the Green and White.

Penelope Russ also had hits for the Seahawks.
The Bearcats scored five in the third, two in the fourth, and one run in the sixth to earn the victory.
One day after earning her first collegiate victory, freshman
Madison Ferrao suffered the loss in the circle, while senior
Amelia Van Orman also pitched in relief.
Overall, Binghamton held an 11-5 advantage in hits.
Game 2 Recap: Hampton 4, Wagner 3 (8 innings)
Wagner took the early lead in the second game of the afternoon. After a Worthy single, an error by the Pirates allowed Van Orman to reach and Worthy to score, giving the Seahawks a 1-0 lead.
The Green and White doubled their lead in the second inning, as an RBI double by Conway brought home Silinonte to make it 2-0 Wagner.
After Hampton tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom half of the inning, both teams went scoreless for the next five innings, forcing extra innings.
In the top of the eighth inning, the Seahawks took the lead, as a sacrifice fly by senior
Kyleigh Norris made it 3-2 in favor of the Seahawks. The Pirates answered, scoring two runs in the bottom half of the eighth to earn the 4-3 win.
Sophomore
Eve Harvey suffered her first loss of the season, tossing the complete game while striking out three.
Wagner will face off with Norfolk State in the final game of the Hampton Invitational tomorrow, with first pitch set for noon.
