How It Happened:
First Quarter
  • Krista Grava scored the first points of the contest on a layup after getting the pass from Khaleah Edwards (6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists).

  • SFU scored seven of the next eleven points over a near four-minute span in clinging to a three-point advantage, 11-8, following a Thomas jumper.
  • Wagner closed out the first quarter on a 10-2 run of its own in taking an 18-13 lead with Edwards serving as the catalyst, scoring all six of her points during this span as the Seahawks went 4 of 5 from the field and 2 of 2 from long range.

Second Quarter
  • The Seahawks increased the lead back to five, 20-15, in response to a Jada Dapaa jumper as Krista Grava reached double digits with her tenth point of the contest off-the-feed from junior guard, Alayshia Dailey
  • The Red Flash climbed back in the contest and regained the lead thanks to an 8-2 run that spanned nearly six minutes as they lead Wagner, 23-22.
  • Wagner got back-to-back three-pointers from Cowan and redshirt junior guard Morgan Lenahan as the Seahawks headed into the break with a 28-23 lead.

Third Quarter
  • Allen hit on a jumper from Jenna Mastellone for the first points of the second half before Cowan was able to hit the front end of a two-shot foul which made it 29-25 in the early stages of the period.
  • Thomas capitalized on her chance from the charity stripe that dwindled the Seahawk lead to just two, 29-27, at the 8:01 mark.
  • Mullen was able to hit the first of her trio of three-pointers that create some separation from the visitors and giving Wagner a 32-27 lead.

  • Saint Francis U found themselves trailing by a single possession, 34-31, after Swogger's jumper rattled in.
  • Krista Grava continued her torrid shooting, connecting on her 14th point of the contest while increasing the home team's lead to 36-31 with 5:46 left in the quarter.
  • The Red Flash flip the momentum in its favor, closing out the quarter on an 11-4 run of its own in retaking a 42-40 lead, thanks to a Thomas layup with thirty ticks showing on the clock.

Fourth Quarter
  • Swogger converted on a three-pointer that upped SFU's advantage to 45-40.
  • It was Wagner's turn to mount a comeback, as Mullen scored the Seahawks' next five points in cutting the deficit to two, 47-45, at the 7:04 mark.
  • Following a Swogger miss, Cowan was able to hit her second trifecta of-the-game, with this one sending the Seahawks' bench into a frenzy as they led 48-47 while forcing SFU to call for time.

  • Despite Krista Grava missing on a turnaround jumper, Cowan was able to swoop in for the looser ball and find Mullen, who netted her 17th point of the contest while giving Wagner a 51-47 lead with 4:44 to go.
  • The Red Flash once again found a way to cut into the lead, as Swogger drained another triple that made it a one-point advantage for the home Seahawks, 51-50, with just over a minute left in regulation.
  • On the ensuing Seahawk possession, Krista Grava was able to hit on the mid-range jumper, which made it 53-50 in favor of Wagner.

  • Wagner's defense was stifling, as senior forward Jordan Hobson was able to intercept the ball from Swogger and find Cowan, who raced in for the layup as the Seahawks went up 55-50 and won by that same margin.
