Kaila Smith continued her hot start to the season with two home runs, but it wasn't enough, as the Wagner College softball team fell to Wright State and Cleveland State on day two of the Scotsman Invitational, hosted by Presbyterian College, on Saturday.
Through four games this season, Smith has three home runs on four hits, resulting in a 1.300 slugging percentage and .400 batting average.
On Saturday, Wagner dropped game one 16-8 against Wright State, before suffering a 13-3 loss to Cleveland State in game two.
With the two losses, Wagner drops to 1-3 on the season after earning its first victory of the season on Friday.

The Seahawks rallied late in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, scoring four runs in the fifth inning, but couldn't overcome the Raiders' early lead.
Wagner scored runs in the first and second inning, before senior
Christina Harkins and Smith doubled the Seahawks' run total with consecutive solo shots in the third.

Nora Conway brought home runs with three RBI singles. For Worthy, it was the first RBI of her collegiate career.

Hannah Lewis led Wagner with two RBIs, while Conway and Smith both recorded two hits.
The Raiders scored in every inning, including seven runs in the second, to earn the victory in five innings.

Amelia Van Orman suffered the loss in the circle, while freshman
Madison Ferrao and sophomore
Eve Harvey also saw action in relief.
Game 2 Recap: Cleveland State 13, Wagner 3
In the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Wagner scored all of its runs in the third. After a single by Worthy to lead off the inning, Harkins drew a walk to put runners on first and second with no outs and Smith coming to the plate.
The senior made the most out of the opportunity, sending the ball over the left field wall for her third home run in four games.
A Norris walk and Lewis double set Wagner up with runners on second on third with two outs, but the Seahawks could not capitalize.
Worthy led the way with three hits and now leads Wagner with a .500 batting average on five hits.
The Vikings scored two runs in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth, and seven in the fifth to earn the victory.
Sophomore Kaila Hooks suffered the loss in the circle in her first start of the season, while Ferrao also pitched in relief.
The Seahawks will face Cleveland State tomorrow at 10:00 am to finish the Scotsman Invitational.
