Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College basketball teams will open their respective 2020-21 seasons at Seton Hall, with the Seahawks' men's team facing off against the Pirates on Tuesday, December 8 at 5:00 pm and Wagner's women's team set to play at Seton Hall on Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm.
The men's basketball matchup will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ and will be broadcast nationally on FS1. Three days later, the women's teams will meet at Walsh Gymnasium on Seton Hall's campus. The women's matchup will air on the Pirate Sports Network.
This marks the third straight season that the Wagner men's basketball team opens its season against Seton Hall, with the Seahawks falling 105-71 to the 12
th-ranked Pirates a season ago.
Under head coach
Bashir Mason, the Seahawks have won two of their last four lid-lifters. Three years ago, the Green & White shocked then No. 18 ranked UConn, 67-58, before opening the 2017-18 campaign with a 60-49 victory at NJIT.
The Seahawks' women's team will face off with the Pirates for the second time in three years, as Wagner opened the 2018-19 season at Seton Hall.

Emilija Krista Grava fell just one rebound short of a double-double in her first collegiate game, as she finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Following the two contests, both Seahawk teams are scheduled to commence Northeast Conference (NEC) play later in December.
