Greentree Named Northeast Conference (NEC) Women's Track Athlete Of The Week

Staten Island, NY – Wagner's Anna Greentree earned the Northeast Conference's (NEC) Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor. It is the first of her career.

The junior competed in the 500m dash for the first time this season and quickly propelled into first-place on the conference leaderboard.

The Canadian-born Seahawk outran the field at the Spartan Invitational, crossing the finish line at 1:16.16.

Greentree's performance last Friday, though fractions of one second off the automatic ECAC Championship qualifying mark, ranks 18th overall on the regional performance list.

The third-year Seahawk paces the league by more than 0.5 seconds in the event.

Greentree and the rest of the Wagner women's indoor track & field team return to action on Saturday, January 18 for the Penn 8-Team Select.
