Staten Island, NY – The Seahawks return home to Grymes Hill after suffering their second defeat of the season to the Villanova Wildcats. They will be looking to get back to their winning ways against the Yale University Bulldogs.
 
Last time out for Wagner was a tale of two halves. The first 30 minutes played out much like the first 30 minutes against La Salle, with the Seahawks going to their dressing room down five goals to none. However, in the second half the Green & White showed fight that outsiders would not have thought possible in a first-year program. Led by freshman midfielder Hannah Meyer, the Seahawks scored three second half goals and performed like a team full of senior leadership. While the result would still go the Wildcats way, Wagner would prove to be able to compete with big name programs from big name conferences, exactly what they have in the Yale University Bulldogs.
 
The Bulldogs are led by nine returning starters, five of which earned All-Ivy League recognition last season. They are coming into this matchup with a record or 1-3, with their last two losses being close contests with No. 16 Liberty and No. 6 Virginia. Junior forward Imogen Davies leads the team in both goals and assists, with two in each category. Following the Seahawks, the Bulldogs will continue their stretch of tough matchups, going up against No. 14 Harvard at home in New Haven, CT.
 
The Seahawks will be back in action on Sunday, on Grymes Hill, taking on the Lehigh Mountain Hawks at 1:30 pm. Both Wagner games will be available on NECFrontRow for streaming.
