Stony Brook, NY – The Wagner College women's tennis team was blanked by Stony Brook, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 4-8 overall on the season while the Seawolves improve to 11-2.
Stony Brook captured the doubles point by posting identical 6-0 victories at No. 1 & No. 3. No. 2 doubles match, featuring
Fidan Khalilzade and
Emma Reeves against Sasha Bekirova/Elizabeth Pam went unfinished with the Stony Brook duo ahead, 4-1.
In singles action, SBU's Jamie Wei, Ana Carrion-Rodriguez and Elizabeth Pam were each victorious by a similar 6-1; 6-1 count.
The Seahawks gear up for its final regular season road match of the season, as Wagner travels to Teaneck, NJ to tangle with Northeast Conference (NEC) rival, Fairleigh Dickinson, at 3:00 p.m. from the FDU Tennis Center.
