Teaneck, NJ – The Wagner College men's tennis team was defeated by the defending Northeast Conference (NEC) champions, the Bryant University Bulldogs, 6-1, at the FDU Tennis Center on Saturday in a rematch of the 2018 NEC title match.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 5-8 overall and 1-2 in league play while the Bulldogs improve to 15-10 and remain perfect in conference tilts at 3-0.
Bryant swept through the doubles point in earning the first overall point of the match.
In singles play, the lone Seahawk victory came at No. 2 as junior
Dylan Walters was able to outlast Artur Jakubowski, 7-6; 6-2.
Wagner will next be in action on Wednesday, April 10 as the Seahawks travel to West Long Branch, NJ to tangle with Monmouth University. The match is slated for a 3:00 p.m. start.
