Khaleah Edwards poured in a game-best 21 points while sophomore forward
Emilija Krista Grava notched her second double-double of the year but it wasn't enough as Colgate defeated the Seahawks, 74-58, on Sunday afternoon at Cotterell Court.
Edwards converted on 8-of-15 shooting from the field while hitting on 5-of-10 from three-point range in 36 minutes of action. It marked the seventh straight contest in which the London, England native reached double-figures; she also dished out four assists.
Krista Grava notched her third career double-double, pouring in 17 points and pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds in 34 minutes of action. The senior duo of
Jordan Hobson and
Janelle Mullen combined for 17 points with Mullen netting nine points in just her second game of the 2019-20 season.
Colgate was paced by Rachel Thompson and Teagan Graham, who both finished in double digits. Thompson hit for a team-high 15 points while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out six helpers. Graham netted 13 points as the two Raiders combined to go 12-of-20 from the field.
Ava Williams came within a point of recording a double-double for Colgate, as she ended the contest with nine points and grabbed ten caroms in the victory.

How It Happened:
First Quarter
- Colgate jumped out to an early 8-2 lead following a second-chance jumper from Graham.
- Hobson put a halt to the Raiders run with a layup, which sprung three straight makes from the visitors in tying the game at 8-8 after Edwards was able to put home two on a layup.
- Colgate closed out the stanza scoring five of the period's final nine points in taking a 15-12 lead.
Second Quarter
- The Raiders built up an eight-point advantage, 20-12, following a layup from Langan.
- Edwards dialed up a three-point shot off the feed from Raven Pitt.
- Colgate concluded the half outscoring Wagner 9-5, over the final 5:10, taking a 31-22 lead at the half.
- Edwards led the way with eight points for the visitors while Krista Grava chipped in six points and seven rebounds.
Third Quarter
- Both teams combined for 41 points in the period as the pace of the contest quickened.
- Wagner was able to cut the deficit to single digits, 33-24, at the 9:06 mark, following a second-chance putback from Krista Grava.
- Colgate used a 13-3 outburst in building its largest lead of the contest, a 47-27 advantage following a Thompson three-point conversion.
- The Seahawks fought back and chipped into the lead, as Edwards rattled off eight straight points for the Seahawks in bringing the visitors to within 12, 52-40, with 44 seconds remaining in the third.
- Mullen was fouled with just seven seconds showing on the clock and calmly hit both free throws that saw Wagner trail by ten, 52-42, entering the final period of play.
Fourth Quarter
- In the final quarter, Krista Grava converted at the line to further Wagner's comeback attempt as they trailed by eight.
- After the Raiders got the lead back up to ten, on a Schubiger jumper, Krista Grava once again cut the Wagner deficit to eight.
- It would be the final time that Wagner trailed by single-digits, as Colgate used a 19-12 run to end the contest.
Inside The Numbers
- Wagner didn't allow Colgate to make a three-pointer until the 1:17 mark of the fourth when Kaitlyn Ghavidel hit on the Raiders first made trifecta as Colgate finished 1-of-10 from three-point range.
