Teaneck, NJ -  The Wagner College women's soccer team makes its final road trip of the regular season, traveling to Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday evening for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at University Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT FOR WAGNER:
  • The Seahawks and Mount St. Mary's played to a virtual stalemate before senior tri-captain Maria Nunez notched what turned out to be the deciding goal in the 87th minute as Wagner secured a 1-0 road triumph over the Mountaineers last Saturday in Emmitsburg, MD.
  • Wagner was setting up for its tenth corner kick of the evening in the 87th with Nunez stepping up to send the ball off.
  • The East Greenwich, RI native was able to put enough on it that it sailed over Mount's goalkeeper, Maggie Baron, into the left side of the net that sent the Seahawks into a frenzy while giving the team a late one-goal advantage.

SERIES HISTORY:
  • Thursday's matchup is the 20th all-time meeting between these two programs with the Knights leading the head-to-head series, 11-6-2.
  • Wagner is looking to snap a four-match losing streak against the Knights, with the Seahawks last victory coming back on October 7, 2011, a 5-0 triumph at Hameline Field.
  • The last time the Green & White defeated the Knights in Teaneck, NJ was October 8, 2010, as Wagner earned a 2-0 victory.

NUNEZ CONTINUES TO MOVE UP THE WAGNER ALL-TIME CAREER LISTS:
  • Senior tri-captain, Maria Nunez, continues to ascend on multiple all-time and single-season lists here at Wagner as she will have two more matches left in her Seahawk career.
  • Nunez netted her 14th career goal, which moved her into sole possession of sixth-place on the all-time Wagner career goals scored list, surpassing former Seahawk standouts Johanna Konrad & Samantha Jensen, who each netted 13 during their careers.
  • With the goal being a game-winner, it was her second ever game-winner, tying her for ninth on the all-time list with ten former Seahawks, last being Amber Coca (2013-16).
  • The veteran forward has recorded 29 career points, which ties Briana Vassallo (2007-10), for seventh on the all-time career list. Next up is Konrad, who finished with 30 points.
  • Nunez became just the fourth Seahawk to record 100 or more shot attempts for a career, as she stands in fourth all-time with 101.
  • In terms of shots on goal, her 51 shot attempts are good for third all-time, moving past Jackie Nicholas' (2010-13) total of 44.
  • The East Greenwich, RI has moved up on the single-season goals scored list as her six goals this season, a career-best, are tied for tenth-best all-time with Julie Vigliotti (2011) and Jaclyn Santariello (2003).

SEAHAWK TIDBITS:
  • Senior goalkeeper Delaney Beck has also left her mark on the program. Entering Thursday's contest with FDU, the Bakersfield, CA native enters play with a career goals against average of 2.17, which ranks tenth on Wagner's all-time list.
  • Additionally, her .753 career save percentage is fourth best while her 146 career stops are sixth most in program history.
  • Entering play at 5-10-1 and 3-4-1 in NEC play, the Seahawks have 10 points in the league standings, the most since 2015, when the squad finished 5-12-1; 4-4-0 in conference for 12 points.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS:
  • Fairleigh Dickinson, who sports a 7-5-5 overall record and a 6-0-2 league mark, have already clinched a spot in the upcoming Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament, along with Central Connecticut, Bryant and Sacred Heart.
  • These four teams will now vie to see who hosts the tourney on November 8 & 10.
  • In the 1-0 win over St. Francis Brooklyn back on October 25, goalkeeper Amanda Fitzgerald registered her sixth shutout of the season.
  • The Knights have six players on this year's squad that have recorded two or more goals, led by Alexiane Marquis, who leads the Knights with four goals and 11 points.
  • Five FDU players have recorded two or more assists on the season, with Marquis, as well as Maja Skansberg, Lea Egner and Paula Ruess each contributing three helpers on the season.
  • Fitzgerald has seen the bulk of action in goal, allowing just 14 goals (0.83 GAA) while recording 80 saves (.851 save percentage).
  • The .851 save percentage from Fitzgerald leads the NEC.
