Lewisburg, PA – The No. 19 Wagner women's water polo team went 2-0 on day two of the Bison Invitational, defeating Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 16-3 and host institution Bucknell 14-6. After today's performance, the three-time defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) champions return to Grymes Hill 3-1 on the weekend and 4-7 overall.
The Seahawks will take a two-week break before traveling to Boston, MA for a four-game stint at the Harvard Invitational March 4-5.

The Green & White opened up its third contest of the Bison Invitational with a 10-0 run behind goals from seven different players. The Seahawks outscored the Athenas 4-0 in the first quarter alone to take control of the contest. Junior utility
Kimberly Watson (Pointe-Claire, Quebec / John Rennie) hit home first for Wagner off an assist from sophomore attack
Erica Hardy (Montreal, Quebec / St. Thomas). Three and a half minutes later, the duo teamed up again, this time Watson dishing out the assist to Hardy. Watson reached the back of the net once again before junior attack
Lacey Anderson (Thousand Oaks, CA / Westlake) buried the final goal of the stanza off an assist from Hardy.
Watson and Hardy each registered three points in the first eight minutes alone on their way to six points each for the contest.
Freshman attack Jacquie Sjogren (Queensland, Australia / St. Andrews Anglican College) opened the second quarter, firing back-to-back goals after her fiv- goal performance against Gannon University on February 11. The Seahawks then scored three unanswered tallies in the final two minutes of the first half including an unassisted marker from sophomore attack
Abby Irving (Brentwood Bay, B.C. / Canadian Sport School [Stelly's]) followed by two from junior attack
Elise Begg (Newbury Park, CA / Newbury) to enter intermission leading 9-0.
The third quarter was a back-and-forth matchup as the two teams alternated scoring. Reigning MAAC Rookie of the Week
Franciska Milo-Sidlo (Budapest, Hungary / Pasaréti Gimnázium) netted a quick marker before Claremont-Mudd-Scripps fired its first goal of the contest midway through the stanza. Watson retaliated with her second tally, followed by Claremont's second point. Anderson ended the quarter rattling the cage to extend the Seahawks lead 12-2 heading into the final eight minutes.
The Seahawks finished the Athenas in the final quarter, outscoring them 4-1. Sophomore center
Natalie Kayton (Agoura, CA / Agoura) ignited the run, notching her first goal of the year followed by Watson, Hardy, and Begg. Despite a late goal from its west coast opponent, the Green & White defeated Claremont 16-3.
Wagner 14, Bucknell 6: Scoresheet
Wagner defeated host institution Bucknell 14-6 in the weekend finale behind two hat-tricks from junior utility

Sjogren sparked the Seahawks' offense, netting an early goal assisted by fellow freshman

Elise Begg followed suit before dishing out three consecutive assists. Sjogren and Watson hit home off back-to-back assists from Begg before Bucknell's Barron put the Bison on the board. Freshman center
Millie Pullyblank (Victoria, Australia / Haileybury Girls School) found the back the net for her first time of the tournament as the Seahawks extended their early lead to 5-1.
The start to the second stanza was a defensive battle before Watson notched her second and third goals to complete the hat-trick. Fellow classmate Anderson reached the back of the net for the Green & White before Sjogren ended the quarter completing her hat-trick.
Entering the second half leading 9-2, Wagner was outscored 4-2 by the Bison. Milo-Sidlo ended Bucknell's early two goal streak with 5:30 left on the clock before Bucknell netted its third tally of the quarter and fifth of the game. Anderson hit home for the Seahawks for her final time in Lewisburg off a rare assist from senior goalkeeper
Emily Riddle (Edmonton, Alberta / Dr. E.P. Scarlett). The Bison scored its final goal of the bout before the third quarter clock ran out as the Green & White led 11-6 entering the final eight minutes.
Pullyblank, Hardy, and sophomore attack
Sarah Limanni (Mohnton, PA / Governor Mifflin) netted three unanswered goals to extend Wagner's lead to 14-6. Riddle held the Bison scoreless in the final quarter with six saves on the day.
