Lewisburg, PA – The No. 19 Wagner women's water polo team defeated Gannon University 18-2 in the final match-up of day one of the Bison Invitational.

Jacqui Sjogren (Queensland, Australia / St. Andrews Anglican College) registered her first-ever collegiate hat-trick less than five minutes into the contest en route to five total goals. The Australian native's third goal came off an assist from sophomore attack
Abby Irving (Brentwood Bay, B.C. / Canadian Sport School [Stelly's]) to put the Seahawks ahead 3-1. Sophomore attack
Erica Hardy (Montreal, Quebec / St. Thomas) then rattled the cage with eight seconds left on the clock to end the quarter 4-1.
The Green & White netted a game-high seven goals in the second stanza as senior goalkeeper
Emily Riddle held the Golden Knights scoreless. Sjorgren opened up play dishing out her lone assist to junior utility
Kimberly Watson (Pointe-Claire, Quebec / John Rennie) who tallied the third marker of Wagner's 11-0 run. Sjogren and Hardy continued the streak alternating on four tallies before MAAC Rookie of the Week

Lacey Anderson (Thousand Oaks, CA / Westlake) put the Seahawks ahead 11-1 entering intermission off an assist from Hardy.
Gannon held Wagner to only two goals in the third quarter despite being outscored 2-1. Irving and junior attack
Elise Begg (Newbury Park, CA / Newbury) each tallied their first markers of the tournament before Gannon's lone scorer on the night, Alison Cooney ended the Green & White's 11-goal streak.
