Moon Township, PA  - The Wagner men's basketball team concludes its season-long four-game road trip in Moon Township, PA, as it squares off against the Robert Morris University Colonials on Saturday afternoon at the Charles L. Sewall Center. The Seahawks are riding a season-best four game win streak after edging out the Saint Francis U Red Flash, 76-74, in overtime on Thursday night in Loretto, PA. Robert Morris saw its two-game win streak snapped as they dropped a 74-70 decision at home against conference-leaders, Mount St. Mary's. The Green & White goes for the season sweep of the Colonials for the second time in as many years after taking all three meetings during the 2015-16 campaign and have under their belts a 53-50 triumph back on January 14 on Staten Island.

Last Time Out: Redshirt senior forward Mike Aaman (Hazlet, NJ / Raritan / Rhode Island) hit what proved to be the game-winning layup with 2.5 seconds remaining in overtime to cap a career-high 26-point, 13-rebound effort as the Wagner men's basketball won its fourth straight game, earning a hard-fought 76-74 overtime road win against the Saint Francis U Red Flash at DeGol Arena. The win split the regular season meetings between the two schools as the Seahawks improved to 12-11 overall and, more importantly, are now 8-5 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play and in a three-way tie for third place, as their quest to secure a top-four finish and first-round league tournament home game continues. With the loss, SFU is now one of those three teams tied with Wagner at 8-5, along with LIU Brooklyn, who defeated Bryant, 88-85 in overtime on the road tonight, Aaman's career night in which he notched his sixth career double-double, led four players in double figures, as junior guard Corey Henson (Upper Marlboro, MD / DeMatha Catholic) finished with 13 points while senior guard Michael Carey (Nassau, Bahamas / Lamar Consolidated / San Jacinto) and junior guard JoJo Cooper (Wilmington, DE / Concord) added 12 points apiece. Carey also pulled down ten rebounds on the night in recording his eighth double-double of the season and 23rd of his two-year Seahawk career.

All-Time Series: Saturday afternoon's affair marks the 71st all-time meeting between the two schools with Robert Morris holding a 43-27 edge in the head-to-head series.
Both Wagner and Robert Morris are charter members of the Northeast Conference (NEC), both joining the league during the prior to the start of the 1981-82 season.
The first-ever meeting took place back on February 13, 1982, in Moon Township as the Colonials defeated the Seahawks, 84-70, which started a five-game winning streak for RMU. Last season, the Seahawks took all three meetings, which included eliminating the 2015 NEC Champions in the quarterfinals, 59-50, at the Spiro Sports Center.
A win in Moon Township would only mark the seventh all-time victory for the Seahawks, as they enter play with a combined record of 6-29 and have only one once in the last five meetings at the Sewall Center. At home, Wagner is 21-13 against the Colonials, having won four of the last five contests.

The Coaches: Wagner's Bashir Mason, the 2015-16 Jim Phelan NEC Coach of the Year, is in his fifth season as the head coach of the Wagner Seahawks, owning a career record of 83-66 and a conference-record of 52-30. Mason is 5-3 all-time against Fairleigh Dickinson. Robert Morris' Andrew Toole, who is in his seventh season as head coach of the Colonials, sports a career mark of 129-104. Toole is 8-7 all-time against Wagner.

Last Time Out Against Robert Morris (1/14/17):  Redshirt senior forward Mike Aaman (Hazlet, NJ / Raritan / Rhode Island) scored 17 of his game-high 22 points in the second half, which tied a then career-high, and senior guard Michael Carey (Nassau, Bahamas/Lamar Consolidated [San Jacinto College] recorded his fifth double-double of the season and 20th of his career with 12 points and 13 rebounds to carry the Wagner men's basketball team to a 53-50 Northeast Conference (NEC) win over Robert Morris at the Spiro Sports Center. The 6-8 Aaman was 9-of-16 from the floor while adding two blocks and three steals in a spirited 23-minute stint. Carey's 12 points came on 6-of-7 shooting and his 13 rebounds marks the third time in the last four games that the 6-5 athletic guard has corralled double-digit rebounds. Junior guard Corey Henson (Upper Marlboro, MD / DeMatha Catholic) added nine points, two assists and a steal. For Robert Morris, the Colonials placed three players in double figures, led by Dachon Burke's 13 points while Matty McConnell and Isaiah Still contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively. McConnell also pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds in recording the double-double for the Colonials.

Scouting The Robert Morris University Colonials: The Robert Morris University Colonials enters Saturday's contest looking to bounce back after seeing its modest two-game win streak snapped against Mount St. Mary's on Thursday night. The Colonials fell to the Mountaineers, 74-70. In that contest, four Colonials finished in double figures, led by Isaiah Still's team-high 17 points, on 8-of-19 shooting in which he grabbed seven rebounds. Matty McConnell added 13 points and six steals while Clive Allen and Kavon Stewart added 11 and 10 points, respectively.  Still is averaging 14.5 ppg, which is the fifth-most in the conference while scoring just under 14.0 in conference-only contests.  Stewart is chipping in 11.5 ppg (23rd in the league) while dishing out 3.6 assists per game (6th in the conference). The Colonials are looking for its first win over the Seahawks since March 4, 2015, in which RMU eliminated the Green & White in the NEC Quarterfinals, 91-68, en route to RMU clinching the league title that season.

A+ Performance From Aaman: Redshirt senior forward Mike Aaman (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan [University of Rhode Island]) was unstoppable on the block in Thursday night's 76-74 overtime victory against Saint Francis U in Loretto. The 6-8 forward finished with a career-high 26 points on 11-of-18 shooting from the floor while grabbing a team-best 13 caroms in 36 minutes of action.  Also, his layup with 2.5 seconds in the extra session proved to be the game-winner.

Double Trouble: In Wagner's 76-74 ovetime victory against Saint Francis U on Thursday night, redshirt senior Mike Aaman and senior guard Michael Carey (Nassau, Bahamas/Lamar Consolidated [San Jacinto College]) recorded double-doubles in the victory. Aaman finished with a career-best 26 points and a game-best 13 caroms while Carey, who notched his 23rd career double-double in the win, ended the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds. This marks the first time since February 18, 2016 in which a pair of Seahawks contributed double-double as Carey and junior guard JoJo Cooper (Wilmington, DE/Concord) recorded the feat, as Cooper finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds while Carey added 11 points and 12 rebounds at Fairleigh Dickinson.

Overcoming Deficits: Prior to the Saint Francis U contest on February 9, in Wagner's last five games, the Seahawks have trailed by five or more points in each game and have won four of the five contests. Against Sacred Heart (1/21/17) on the road, the Seahawks trailed by seven at the 6:04 mark of the first half to win by five (67-62). In the last three games, the Green & White have trailed by an average of seven points and have gone on to victory by an average of seven points.

Iron Mike: Senior guard Michael Carey is the lone member of the 2016-17 Seahawks to start in every game this season, playing in 23 straight games.

February Frenzy: The Seahawks are currently 3-0 to start the final month of the regular season. In their three games, the Green & White have outscored their opponents by 7.0 points (71.3-64.3) while outshooting them 43.7 to 38.0 percent from the floor. Michael Carey has averaged 15.3 ppg and 7.7 rpg over the first three games of the month.
Mike Aaman is netting 15.0 ppg and grabbing 7.0 rebounds while shooting 48.6 percent from the floor and 81.8 from the line. Corey Henson and JoJo Cooper have added 14.0 and 11.0 ppg, respectively.

Henson Reaches Milestone In Big Seahawk Win: Junior guard Corey Henson (Upper Marlboro, MD/DeMatha Catholic) scored 16 points in the Seahawks' key 68-59 win over second place Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, but his most memorable bucket was his first, a jumper just 2 1/2 minutes into the game. With the shot, Henson became the 43rd played in Wagner history and the 210th player in NEC annals to reach the millennium mark. He also became the third NEC player this season to crack 1,000 points, joining FDU's Darian Anderson and Central Connecticut's Khalen Cumberlander.

Carey Seeing 20/20: Michael Carey was the sixth player in NEC history with at least 22 boards in a game and one of seven NEC players in the last 20 years to finish with 20 points and 20 rebounds in a contest when he went for 21 points and 22 rebounds against defending league champions, Fairleigh Dickinson, back on January 5.
