Staten Island, NY – After battling LIU Brooklyn to a scoreless draw in its Northeast Conference (NEC) opener on Sunday, the Wagner College women's soccer team continues league play on Friday when the Seahawks travel to Fairleigh Dickinson for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Knights.

Madison Starr (New Canaan, CT / New Canaan) led Wagner with two attempts on goal, while Nunez, as well as juniors
Maria D'Amico (Freehold, NJ / Freehold Township) and
Sandra Battista (Staten Island, NY / Notre Dame Academy), contributed two shots apiece.
Prime Performer: Sophomore goalkeeper
Delaney Beck (Bakersfield, CA / Garces Memorial) led Wagner with a season-high 11 saves against LIU Brooklyn, earning her the #NECPrimePerformer honor for the week. On the season, the sophomore has two clean sheets along with 44 saves in 10 appearances.
Scouting The Knights: FDU enters Friday's game with a 3-7-2 record, with victories coming against Hartford, Rider, and Central Connecticut, the latter of which gives the Knights a 1-0 conference record. Sofia Albertsson and Elma Kolenovic lead FDU with five goals apiece.
Road Warriors: The Seahawks boast a 3-1-1 record away from Staten Island this season, making them one of just three teams in the league with at least three victories on the road, joining Bryant and Mount St. Mary's, as the league leaders in road wins.
Next Up: Following this Friday's tilt vs. FDU, Wagner returns to action on Friday, October 13, when the Seahawks travel to Emmitsburg, MD for a matchup with Mount St. Mary's at 7:00 pm.
