Game 1 Recap: Robert Morris 6 Wagner 5 In a back and forth battle between the two squads, it was Robert Morris that came out on top.
The Colonials put up a run in the first inning to which the Seahawks responded right back getting one in evening the score after sophomore first baseman
Maddie Marable (Reno, NV/Earl Wooster) doubled to left center to score junior centerfielder
Brianna Tredway (Downintown, PA/Downingtown West), who had singled to lead off the inning.
Robert Morris put up another two runs in the third inning but a solid Wagner offense answered with two runs of its own to keep the score tied 3-3 going into the fourth.
Wagner took a two run lead in the bottom of the fifth after junior leftfielder
Hana Gilbert (Valley Center, CA/Valley Center) laced a single through the left side to score freshman right fielder
Lauren Serrato (Litchfield Park, AZ/Verrado) and Tredway.
The Colonials bounced right back with two homeruns in the fifth and sixth innings and shut down the Seahawks in the seventh to secure the first 6-5 victory of the day.

Game 2 Recap: Robert Morris 6 Wagner 5 Junior
Aerika High (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) posted her first collegiate grand slam at the right time after the Seahawks were trailing 6-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut the deficit to just one run.
The Seahawks however, were unable to get the bats rolling in the seventh to mount a comeback and fell to the Colonials 6-5 in game two of Saturday's doubleheader.
Wagner took advantage of a Robert Morris error in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. The score remained 1-0 until the fourth inning when the Colonials fed off of a Wagner error and scored four runs in taking a 4-1 lead.
Robert Morris tallied another two in the fifth to make it 6-1 before High launched a grand slam over the center field fence to make it a close 6-5 ball game.
Despite the loss, the Wagner defense showed integrity as Tredway and Serrato came up with two outstanding catches in the outfield to stop two Robert Morris threats.
Serrato was 2-for-4 with one RBI in the contest.
The five other of the Seahawks six hits came from Gilbert, Marable, High and Krumbine in game two.
The Seahawks continue their NEC opening weekend when they host the Saint Francis University Red Flash in a doubleheader at the Wagner College Softball Field tomorrow afternoon. The first pitch is slated for 12:00 p.m.
