Game One Recap: Monmouth 7 Wagner 4 Wagner struck first, recording one run in the first inning. Freshman right fielder
Lauren Serrato (Litchfield Park, AZ/Verrado) doubled to right-center then advanced to third on a Monmouth error by the pitcher. She then scored on a catchers' obstruction call to make it 1-0.
Monmouth responded in the third inning, posting four runs off on a Chloe Howerth two-run single, Rachel Shotzbarger solo home run and an Ashalynn Umiamaka RBI double.
After the Hawks tacked on another two runs in the top of the sixth, Wagner mounted a rally in the bottom half. Sophomore pitcher
Morgan Brown (Buckeye, AZ/Verrado) laced a double to right field to score third baseman
Aerika High (Manheim, PA/Manheim Central) and the designated player,
McKaleigh Goodale (Bradenton, FL/Lakewood Ranch). High reached on a fielder's choice while Goodale was walked earlier in the inning.
Now leading 6-3, the Hawks increased their lead with another run in the top of the seventh.
As a team, the Seahawks put up seven hits. Serrato and freshman shortstop Erica Krumbine (Freehold, NJ/Saint John Vianney) were both 2-for-3. High, Goodale and Brown collected one apiece. Wagner made an attempt to come back as freshman catcher
Jessica Carlucci (Manalapan, NJ/Saint John Vianney) reached on a fielder's choice and scored Serrato, who had walked to lead off the inning. That was all the Seahawks could muster however, as Monmouth held on the 7-4 win.
Game Two Recap: Monmouth 11 Wagner 2 Monmouth got on the board first, pushing six runs home with the big blow coming on a three-run homer by Jill Freese with one out in the top of the first inning.

The visiting Hawks extended their lead however, tacking on three runs in the third, followed by another two in the fifth to close out the game 11-2.
Wagner collected three hits in the contest. Carlucci was 1-for-2 with two RBI while junior centerfielder
Brianna Tredway (Downgintown, PA/Downingtown West) and freshman second baseman
Karen Prihoda (Hamilton Square, NJ/The Lawrenceville School) each singled.
