Women's Tennis Falls At Drexel; Harris Earns 17th Career Singles Victory

The Wagner women's tennis team dropped its non-conference tilt against the Drexel University Dragons, 6-1, at the Drexel Armory on Saturday morning

With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 6-3 on the year while the Dragons improve to 8-2 on the season.

The Seahawks lone victory of the day came at No. 6 singles as senior Jenna Harris (Fountain Hills, AZ/Fountain Hills) picked up her 17th career win, defeating Drexel's Jennifer White, 8-6. 

Wagner was competitive throughout the morning. In No. 1 singles play, junior Avika Sagwal (New Delhi, India/Delhi Public High School [Southeastern Louisiana]) rallied back from a 6-1 first set defeat to Erin Bowsher before defeating Bowsher, 7-6 in the second set forcing a third, in which she was edged 6-4. 

The Seahawks will next be in action on April 2 as they travel head to West Hartford, CT to square off against the University of Hartford Hawks at 4:30 p.m.
