Baker).

Sophomore midfielder Lauren Ednie (Verona, NJ/Verona) and sophomore attack Heidi Colford led Wagner in draw controls with two apiece. In goal, senior Katie Ferraro (Ownings Mill, MD/McDonogh) recorded eight saves while going the distance between the pipes.

The Eagles outshot Wagner 22-11 and led in ground balls, 11-10, while the Seahawks held a 7-6 edge in draw controls.

After falling behind 1-0, the Seahawks tallied unanswered goals from Tumolo and Fay in taking their lone lead of the game at 2-1. The Eagles then went on a 3-0 run, with two of those scored coming from Norris, in taking a 4-2 lead. Gegan got one back with a goal at the 1:45 mark of the first half to make it a 4-3 game. With one second ;left in the half, Wagner was whistled for a penalty which Wojciechowski converted in giving the Eagles a 5-3 lead at halftime.

That's the way the score remained until the 18:38 mark of the second half when Pastore notched a goal on a free position shot to again make it in a one-goal game at 5-4. Less than three minutes later, Gegan knocked home her second goal of the game to knot the score at 5-5.

DeSimone gave American the lead with 11:35 left to play on a free position and DeSimone added another with 9:38 left. Neither team could find the range offensively the rest of the way as the Eagles held on for the 7-5 win.

Wagner is next in action on Tuesday, March 1 when the Seahawks travel to Philadelphia to meet the Temple University Owls of the Atlantic 10 Conference.
