Nwajei Continues to Score at Torrid, Record-Breaking Pace
Jasmine Nwajei continued her torrid, record-breaking output this past week, averaging 35.0 ppg., 5.0 rpg., 3.0 spg and 2.5 apg. On February 13, the 5-8 New York City guard poured in 32 points at Bryant in a game where NEC leading rebounder
Sofia Roma became the fourth Seahawk starter to be sidelined due to injury. She followed that effort with a 38-point effort vs. Saint Francis U on Feburary 15. Nwajei, who became the Seahawks' all-time scoring leader on February 6 vs. FDU, is on pace to reach the 2,000-point career mark as a junior, as she currently has amassed 1,942 points with a minimum of four games remaining. In addition to her national-leading 28.3 ppg. average, she is hitting for 33.6 ppg. games in Northeast Conference (NEC) play. Against SFU, Nwajei moved into seventh place on the NEC all-time scoring list. This season, she has a pair of 50-point plus games to her credit, having scored a school and NEC-record 53 points on January 24 vs. Sacred Heart. She also tossed 52 points in an overtime win at St. Francis Brooklyn on February 1. This season, Nwajei has eclipsed the 50-point mark twice, the 40-point mark four times, and the 30-point plateau 12 times (22 for her career).

For the season, sophomore forward Sofia Roma (Richmond Hill, NY/Nazareth Regional) averages 10.2 rpg., second in the NEC behind Bryant's Breanna Rucker (11.0 rpg) and her average in conference play is a league-best 12.2 rpg.

Young Guards Finding the Range
The young guard tandem of sophomore
Tanasia Russell (Vineland, NJ/Vineland) and freshman
Julia McClure (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) have been finding the range offensively of late. The 5-8 Russell is averaging 12.5 ppg. in her last two games, a 14-point effort at Bryant (2/13), followed by an 11-point outing vs. SFU (2/15). McClure, who also measures 5-8, has also been hitting her stride of late after missing eight games in the middle of the season due to injury. McClure has hit for 10.5 ppg. in her last two games, after scoring 12 points at Bryant (2/13) and nine points two days later vs. SFU (2/15).
