Lincroft, NJ – Junior Nicole Bell (Branchville, NJ/ Sussex County Technical) claimed eighth at the Monmouth XC 4K Kick-Off event to open the season for the Seahawks.

Bell crossed the finish line at 15:15.01 to lead the Green & White to a fifth place finish as Monmouth took home both the team and individually crown.

Seniors Danielle Iacampo (Staten Island, NY/ St. John Villa) and Laynee Viniotis (Bellevue, WA/ Sammish) had impressive days finishing 14th and 17th respectively. Iacampo recorded a time of 15:33.56 while Viniotis registered a mark of 15:41.32.

Sophomore Maria Scalici (Staten Island, NY/ Susan E. Wagner) and junior Brietta Wilson (Neptune, NJ/ Neptune) rounded out the squad placing 51st and 63rd respectively. Scalici crossed the finish line at 16:56.78 with Wilson stopping the clock at 17:30.97.

The Green & White are back in action on September 12th as they will compete in the Monmouth Invitational.
